Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju

TV Finished 2016 Mature

Two rival rakugo performers carry a deception through the second half of the twentieth century, framed by a convict who asks to be trained in the art. It is about interpretation rather than plot: the same traditional routine, told twice, meaning something different each time.
