Cowboy Bebop

TV Finished 1998 Teen

A crew of bounty hunters drifts between planets taking jobs that barely cover the fuel bill, and keeps running into the past they each left behind. The show is built less as a plot than as a mood: one cool set piece after another, tied together by a jazz score and a genuine reluctance to look at its characters' wounds directly. It lands because it eventually makes them look.
